Catarina Macario made her debut for Olympique Lyonnais during their 2-1 win over Montpellier. The USWNT prospect came one as a sub for striker Amandine Henry in the 37th minute and helped contribute to the win. Macario had only been on the pitch for three minutes when her attempted shot fell to Sakina Karchaoui, who’s follow up shot caromed off Elisa de Almeida for an own goal. That proved to be the winner after Henry broke the deadlock in the fourth minute only to have that goal cancelled out by Clarisse Le Bihan two minutes later.

Lyon is still in second place though thanks to Paris Saint-Germain hammering Fleury 91 5-0 on Friday night. Sandy Baltimore led the way with goals in the 24th and 62nd minutes and she was joined on the scorecard by Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Kadidiatou Diani, and Irene Hernandez.

PSG is at home to Issy in two weeks time after another break for Coupe de France action while Lyon travels to Soyaux. Those matches will be the final tune up before the two giants play each other for the second time this season on March 13.

Only one of the two expected French matches actually took place this weekend. Issy’s Roselord Borgella scored in a 1-0 win over Dijon and the match between Fleury 91 and Le Havre was postponed.
